1Pet2:1-3; Eph4:12,13,15. We must ensure that our
new converts are established and matured in the faith. Some of them could
possess specialist skills which they could implement in some arms of the
ministry. Ministers and members should grow, and the goal of the growth is the
fullness of the measure and stature of Christ 2Pet3:17,18.
Many think that the grace of God only saves us,
but we ought to grow in grace as well. Growth causes joy in Heaven and on
earth; it honours and appreciates Christ and glorifies God. In character,
perfection, understanding, we should grow.
1. THE FOOD FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH IN THE MINISTRY:
For our health, happiness, strength and
concentration, food and water are necessary. In the natural, food and water
should be neat and clean. Also in the spiritual, the food and water we take in
must enhance our growth 1Pet2:1-3. Overseers, Pastors, Workers and Members
should lay aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies. In those days,
members run to the Bible Study location so as not to miss any sentence or
statement of the Word. The revival will come back! Mt4:4; Deu8:3; Job23:12. The
Word is more important than our daily necessary food Jer3:15; Pro19:2; Jer23:4.
We've been raised up as shepherds and pastors, and
we should feed the flock of God. There should be no fear; preach the Word
Acts20:28,32.
2. THE FAITH FOR THE SOARING GROWTH OF MINISTERS:
Growth should be something feasible and evident in
the body of Christ 2The1:3; Heb11:6,8,10,17. Our faith must grow and soar in
the middle of abounding uncertainties. We talk about the faith that saves
Eph2:8; Rom5:1,2; the faith that upholds Heb10:38,39; Acts3:16; the faith that
sanctifies 26:18.
Many run away from ministering by being excusable.
We must possess the faith of an overcomer 1Jn5:4. We also walk by faith
2Cor5:7. If you concentrate on what you see, you will lose grip of your faith
1Cor16:13. We must be stedfast in the faith 1Pet5:8,9.
Let's endeavor to develop our members and workers;
developing their prayer life and their life of faith. Christ Jesus has
conquered for us at Calvary, and we cannot fear any rat or cockroach that wants
to intimidate us.
3. THE FRUIT OF SUSTAINED GROWTH TOWARDS MATURITY:
Eph4:13; 2Pet3:18. The fruit, evidence, marks
& characteristics of growth are
Growth in Unity Eph4:1,2; 1Cor1:10
Growth in Faith Eph4:13; Heb4:2
Growth in Knowledge 2Pet3:18; 2Pet1:3
Growth in Grace
2Cor12:9; Heb4:16
No situation or challenge will ever come that the
grace of God will not cover. The grace and power of God is fencing you around -
rise up and claim it!
